we've arrived!

We maaaade it! Our flight was so quick (a mere 6 hours!!) and we were in Dublin at 7:30am (their time). I couldn't believe how fast it seemed to fly by. It seemed like days since I had talked to people but it was only about 9 hours....

one more day...

Hi! I am in Chicago tonight..... sitting on Helen & Gary's patio drinking champagne and talking... I fly out tomorrow at 6:50PM. I am getting really excited!

I bought a new camera yesterday (after dropping my old one at a wedding!), so I uploaded all of my pictures. Here's a quick recap of a great summer... Kellie's graduation, Keith Urban/Taylor Swift & Uncle Bucks, Apple River, RAGBRAI, etc etc etc. It was awesome!

I have had such a wonderful summer... I am so blessed. Ireland Bound!

My semester abroad is beginning with a week in Ireland! It is official as Carolyn and I reserved our hostels earlier tonight! You'll hear me talk about Carolyn a lot... we were room mates for the past 3 semesters and we will be traveling together and living together in ROME! Can't wait Car!!

Miller time

For having no plans this weekend it definitely turned out to be a great one!

After getting lots of little things done in the morning on Saturday my aunt and uncle and their 5 young kids arrived! Ron (my dad's younger brother), Missy, Zack, Anna, Luke, Leah, and John live in Sleepy Eye, MN and were in town celebrating one of Missy's family member's college graduation. We just spent time relaxing and talking, but I had so much fun! All of their children were so cute and well behaved kids! It kind of hit me last night how rarely we have relatives visiting... usually just for big occasions and, in those cases, it's usually evvveryone. I had a great time, come back soon Millers!

On Sunday I spent the day fishing and celebrating my dad's 50th birthday! :) This is what is keeping him young.... he loves it! Happy Birthday Daddio!



It was a great weekend... and I am already looking forward to my last two in the states! I have a long weekend at a cabin in MN starting this Thursday (hurry Thursday!) and then a wedding in eastern Iowa.

hello world!

This is my first Official post. :) I have wanted to start a blog for quite some time, and with Italy just around the corner I decided it is time! I leave for a semester in Europe on the 26th (a mere 19 days away!), so until then I will post about events in my life, things that inspire me or make me laugh, anything really. Once I arrive in Europe and move in to my apartment in Rome, this blog will be used as a travel journal/record.
